Hadith of ‘Uwaymir ibn Ashqar (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 19001
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ ، أَنَّ عَبَّادَ بْنَ تَمِيمٍ أَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ عُوَيْمِرِ بْنِ أَشْقَرَ : " أَنَّهُ ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْدُوَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَنَّهُ ذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَمَا فَرَغَ ، فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَعُودَ لِأُضْحِيَّتِهِ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uwaymir bin Ashqar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he once slaughtered the sacrificial animal before the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the Eid prayer, he mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to offer the sacrifice again.
