حَدِيثُ نَافِعِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Nafi' ibn Utbah ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 18972
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تُقَاتِلُونَ جَزِيرَةَ الْعَرَبِ فَيَفْتَحُهَا اللَّهُ ، وَتُقَاتِلُونَ فَارِسَ فَيَفْتَحُهُمْ اللَّهُ ، وَتُقَاتِلُونَ الرُّومَ فَيَفْتَحُهُمْ اللَّهُ ، وَتُقَاتِلُونَ الدَّجَّالَ فَيَفْتَحُهُ اللَّهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Nafi' bin Utbah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet said: You will fight against the people of the Arabian Peninsula and Allah will grant you victory over them. Then you will fight against the people of Persia and Allah will grant you victory over them as well. Then you will fight against the people of Rome and Allah will grant you victory over them as well. Then you will fight against the Dajjal and Allah will grant you victory over him as well.
Hadith 18973
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ يَعْنِي الْفَزَارِيَّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزَاةٍ ، فَأَتَاهُ قَوْمٌ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَغْرِبِ عَلَيْهِمْ ثِيَابُ الصُّوفِ ، فَوَافَقُوهُ عِنْدَ أَكَمَةٍ ، وَهُمْ قِيَامٌ وَهُوَ قَاعِدٌ ، فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَقُمْتُ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَهُ فَحَفِظْتُ مِنْهُ أَرْبَعَ كَلِمَاتٍ أَعُدُّهُنَّ فِي يَدِي قَالَ : " تَغْزُونَ جَزِيرَةَ الْعَرَبِ فَيَفْتَحُهَا اللَّهُ ، ثُمَّ تَغْزُونَ فَارِسَ فَيَفْتَحُهَا اللَّهُ ، ثُمَّ تَغْزُونَ الرُّومَ فَيَفْتَحُهَا اللَّهُ ، ثُمَّ تَغْزُونَ الدَّجَّالَ فَيَفْتَحُهُ اللَّهُ ، " . قَالَ نَافِعٌ : يَا جَابِرُ ، أَلَا تَرَى أَنَّ الدَّجَّالَ لَا يَخْرُجُ حَتَّى تُفْتَحَ الرُّومُ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Nafi’ bin Utbah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was with the Prophet in a battle. A group of people came to the Prophet from the west; they were wearing woolen clothes. Near a mound, they met the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) was seated and those people were standing. I also came and stood among them. I counted and preserved four things from the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet said: You will fight against the people of the Arabian Peninsula and Allah will grant you victory over them. Then you will fight against the people of Persia and Allah will grant you victory over them as well. Then you will fight against the people of Rome and Allah will grant you victory over them as well. Then you will fight against the Dajjal and Allah will grant you victory over him as well.
