حَدِيثُ خَادِمِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of the servant of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith 18967
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَقِيلٍ قَاضِي وَاسِطٍ ، عَنْ سَابِقِ بْنِ نَاجِيَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ ، قَالَ : مَرَّ رَجُلٌ فِي مَسْجِدِ حِمْصَ ، فَقَالُوا : هَذَا خَادِمُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : فَقُمْتُ إِلَيْهِ ، فَقُلْتُ : حَدِّثْنِي حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَتَدَاوَلُهُ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ الرِّجَالُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ مُسْلِمٍ يَقُولُ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ وَحِينَ يُمْسِي ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ : رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا ، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا ، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيًّا ، إِلَّا كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُرْضِيَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
Abu Salam says that a man was passing through the mosque of Homs. People said that this person has served the Prophet. I got up and went to him and requested, "Tell me a hadith which you yourself have heard from the Prophet, with no intermediary in between?" He replied, "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'Whoever, every morning and evening, says these words three times: رضيت بالله ربا وبالإسلام دينا وبمحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم نبيا (I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, as my Prophet), then it is Allah’s responsibility to please him on the Day of Resurrection.'"
Hadith 18968
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ ، عَنْ خَادِمِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ قَالَ : رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا ، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيًّا ، حِينَ يُمْسِي ثَلَاثًا وَحِينَ يُصْبِحُ ثَلَاثًا ، كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُرْضِيَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
Abu Salam narrates that it is reported from a servant of the Prophet that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever among the Muslim servants says these words three times in the morning and three times in the evening — "I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, as my Prophet" — then it is Allah’s right to please him on the Day of Resurrection.
Hadith 18969
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَقِيلٍ هَاشِمِ بْنِ بِلَالٍ ، عَنْ سَابِقِ بْنِ نَاجِيَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ ، قَالَ أَبُو النَّضْرِ : الْحَبَشِيُّ ، قَالَ : مَرَّ بِهِ رَجُلٌ فِي مَسْجِدِ حِمْصَ ، فَقِيلَ : هَذَا خَدَمَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : حَدِّثْنِي حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَتَدَاوَلْهُ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ الرِّجَالُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَقُولُ حِينَ يُمْسِي وَحِينَ يُصْبِحُ : رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا ، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا ، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيًّا ، ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ إِلَّا كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُرْضِيَهُ " .

Hadith 18970
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ رَجُلٌ خَدَمَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَمَانِ سِنِينَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قُرِّبَ لَهُ طَعَامٌ ، قَالَ : " بِسْمِ اللَّهِ " فَإِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ طَعَامِهِ ، قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ أَطْعَمْتَ وَأَسْقَيْتَ وَأَغْنَيْتَ وَأَقْنَيْتَ وَهَدَيْتَ وَاجْتَبَيْتَ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى مَا أَعْطَيْتَ " .
It is narrated from a servant of the Prophet who served the Prophet (peace be upon him) for eight years that whenever food was presented before the Prophet, he (peace be upon him) would begin by saying "Bismillah" and when he finished eating, he would recite this supplication: "O Allah, You have fed and given drink, granted sufficiency and sustenance, You have given guidance and life, praise is due to You for Your bounties."
