حَدِيثُ نَاجِيَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Najiyah al-Khuza'i (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 18943
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ نَاجِيَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ ، قَالَ : وَكَانَ صَاحِبَ بُدْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنَ الْبُدْنِ ؟ قَالَ : " انْحَرْهُ ، وَاغْمِسْ نَعْلَهُ فِي دَمِهِ ، وَاضْرِبْ صَفْحَتَهُ ، وَخَلِّ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَبَيْنَهُ ، فَلْيَأْكُلُوهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Najiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) (who was responsible for the camels of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him) that I asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) what should I do if a sacrificial camel is about to die? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Slaughter it, dip its sandal in its blood and rub it on its forehead, and leave it for the people so that they may eat it.
Hadith 18944
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ نَاجِيَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ ، وَكَانَ صَاحِبَ بُدْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنَ الَإِبِلِ أَوْ الْبُدْنِ ؟ قَالَ : " انْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ أَلْقِ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا ، ثُمَّ خَلِّ عَنْهَا وَعَنِ النَّاسِ ، فَلْيَأْكُلُوهَا " .
