After finishing the prayer, he came to his mount, untied its rope, and mounted it. Then he loudly supplicated: "O Allah! Send Your mercy upon me and upon Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and do not include anyone else with us in this mercy." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the companions (may Allah be pleased with them): "Tell me, is this man more ignorant or his camel? Did you not hear what he said?" The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "Why not?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You wanted to limit Allah's vast mercy, whereas Allah Almighty has created one hundred mercies, of which He has sent down one mercy, and as a result, all creatures—jinn, humans, and even animals—show mercy and kindness to one another. The remaining ninety-nine mercies are with Him. Now tell me, is he more ignorant or his camel?"
