حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of a man (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 18794
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ عَرْفَجَةَ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ فِي بَيْتٍ فِيهِ عُتْبَةُ بْنُ فَرْقَدٍ ، فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أُحَدِّثَ بِحَدِيثٍ ، قَالَ : فَكَانَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَأَنَّهُ أَوْلَى بِالْحَدِيثِ مِنْهُ ، قَالَ : فَحَدَّثَ الرَّجُلُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " فِي رَمَضَانَ تُفَتَّحُ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ ، وَتُغَلَّقُ أَبْوَابُ النَّارِ ، وَيُصَفَّدُ فِيهِ كُلُّ شَيْطَانٍ مَرِيدٍ ، وَيُنَادِي مُنَادٍ كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ : يَا طَالِبَ الْخَيْرِ هَلُمَّ ، وَيَا طَالِبَ الشَّرِّ أَمْسِكْ " .
Urfaajah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I was in a house where Utbah bin Farqad was also present. I intended to narrate a hadith there, but there was also a companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) present, and he was more entitled to narrate that hadith. So he narrated this hadith: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "In the month of Ramadan, the gates of the heavens are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and every rebellious devil is chained. And every night a caller announces: O seeker of good, proceed! And O seeker of evil, desist!"
Hadith 18795
حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ عَرْفَجَةَ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ عِنْدَ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ فَرْقَدٍ وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَمَضَانَ ، قَالَ : فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قال : فَلَمَّا رَآهُ عُتْبَةُ هَابَهُ ، فَسَكَتَ ، قَالَ : فَحَدَّثَ عَنْ رَمَضَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ " فِي رَمَضَانَ تُغَلَّقُ فِيهِ أَبْوَابُ النَّارِ ، وَتُفَتَّحُ فِيهِ أَبْوَابُ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَتُصَفَّدُ فِيهِ الشَّيَاطِينُ " ، قَالَ : " وَيُنَادِي فِيهِ مَلَكٌ : يَا بَاغِيَ الْخَيْرِ أَبْشِرْ ، يَا بَاغِيَ الشَّرِّ أَقْصِرْ ، حَتَّى يَنْقَضِيَ رَمَضَانُ " .
