حَدِيثُ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Harithah ibn Wahb (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 18726
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ حَارِثَةَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " تَصَدَّقُوا ، فَيُوشِكُ الرَّجُلُ يَمْشِي بِصَدَقَتِهِ ، فَيَقُولُ الَّذِي أُعْطِيَهَا : لَوْ جِئْتَ بِهَا بِالْأَمْسِ ، قَبِلْتُهَا ، وَأَمَّا الْآنَ ، فَلَا حَاجَةَ لِي فِيهَا ، فَلَا يَجِدُ مَنْ يَقْبَلُهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Haritha (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Give charity, for a time will soon come when a person will go out with something to give in charity, and the one to whom he offers it will say, "If you had brought this yesterday, I would have accepted it, but now I have no need of it." Thus, he will not find anyone who will accept his charity.
Hadith 18727
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ بِمِنًى أَكْثَرَ مَا كَانَ النَّاسُ وَآمَنَهُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Haritha (may Allah be pleased with him) that I offered two rak'ahs each of Zuhr and Asr prayers with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the plain of Mina during a time of abundance of people and peace.
Hadith 18728
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ حَارِثَةَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ الْخُزَاعِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أََلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ؟ كُلُّ ضَعِيفٍ مُتَضَعَّفٍ لَوْ يُقْسِمُ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ ، أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ النَّارِ ؟ كُلُّ جَوَّاظٍ جَعْظَرِيٍّ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Haritha (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Shall I not tell you about the people of Paradise? Every weak person who is considered insignificant, but if he swears by Allah's name, Allah fulfills his oath. Shall I not tell you about the people of Hell? Every ill-tempered person who is malicious and arrogant.
Hadith 18729
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ حَارِثَةَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَصَدَّقُوا ، فَإِنَّهُ يُوشِكُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ بِصَدَقَتِهِ فَلَا يَجِدُ مَنْ يَقْبَلُهَا مِنْهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Haritha (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Give charity, for a time will soon come when a person will go out with something to give as charity, but he will not find anyone who will accept his charity."
Hadith 18730
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ألَاَ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ؟ كُلُّ ضَعِيفٍ مُتَضَعَّفٍ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَأََبَرَّهُ ، أَلَاَ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ النَّارِ ؟ كُلُّ عُتُلٍّ جَوَّاظٍ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ " .

Hadith 18732
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ حَارِثَةَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ الْخُزَاعِيَّ ، قَالَ : " سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ.
Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Ma'bad ibn Khalid, he said: I heard Haritha ibn Wahb al-Khuza'i, he said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him," then he mentioned the hadith.
