Hadith 18335
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) brought a book to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! While passing through Banu Qurayza, I met my brother who gave me some comprehensive sayings from the Torah in writing. Should I present them before you?" Upon this, the color of the blessed face of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) changed. I said to Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), "Do you not see the face of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" Seeing this, Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "We are pleased with Allah as our Lord, with Islam as our religion, and with Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as our Messenger." Then that state of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ended. He then said, "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, if Musa (Moses) were alive and you were to follow him, leaving me, you would surely go astray. You are my share among the nations, and I am your share among the Prophets."
