حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَشْجَعَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of a man from Ashja' (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 18290
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَّا مِنْ أَشْجَعَ ، قَالَ : " رَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيَّ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَطْرَحَهُ ، فَطَرَحْتُهُ إِلَى يَوْمِي هَذَا ".
It is narrated from a companion of Banu Ashja‘ (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw me wearing a gold ring, so he ordered me to take it off. Thus, I have kept it off until today (and never wore it again).
