حَدِيثُ مَعْنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ السُّلَمِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Ma'n ibn Yazid al-Sulami (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 18275
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْجُوَيْرِيَةِ ، عَنْ مَعْنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ السُّلَمِيِّ ، سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَا وَأَبِي وَجَدِّي ، وَخَاصَمْتُ إِلَيْهِ ، " فَأَفْلَجَنِي ، وَخَطَبَ عَلَيَّ ، فَأَنْكَحَنِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ma'n bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) that I, my father, and my grandfather pledged allegiance at the hand of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I presented my case before the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) decided in my favor. He also recited the sermon for my marriage proposal and solemnized my marriage.
