Hadith of Abu Burdah ibn Qais
Hadith 18080
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا كُرَيْبُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ أَخِي أَبِي مُوسَى ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فَنَاءَ أُمَّتِي قَتْلًا فِي سَبِيلِكَ ، بِالطَّعْنِ وَالطَّاعُونِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Burdah bin Qais (may Allah be pleased with him), who is the brother of Hazrat Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Allah! Ordain the death of my Ummah in Your path by spears and in the state of plague.
