حَدِيثُ هُبَيْبِ بْنِ مُغْفِلٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Habib ibn Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 18077
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ : وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ أَسْلَمَ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ ، عَنْ هُبَيْبِ بْنِ مُغْفِلٍ الْغِفَارِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى مُحَمَّدًا الْقُرَشِيَّ ، قَامَ يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ هُبَيْبٌ ، فَقَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَنْ وَطِئَهُ خُيَلَاءَ ، وَطِئَهُ فِي النَّارِ " .
Hazrat Habib bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a man named Muhammad Quraishi who was dragging his lower garment while walking. Hazrat Habib (may Allah be pleased with him) saw him and said, "I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: Whoever drags his lower garment on the ground out of arrogance, Allah will drag him in Hellfire in the Hereafter."
Hadith 18078
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَسْلَمُ أَبُو عِمْرَانَ ، عَنْ هُبَيْبٍ الْغِفَارِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ وَطِئَ عَلَى إِزَارِهِ خُيَلَاءَ ، وَطِئَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Habib bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever drags his lower garment on the ground out of arrogance, Allah will make him drag it in Hell in the Hereafter.
Hadith 18079
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ أَسْلَمَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ هُبَيْبَ بْنَ مُغْفِلٍ صَاحِبَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَرَأَى رَجُلًا يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ خَلْفَهُ وَيَطَؤُهُ خُيَلَاءَ ، فَقَالَ : سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَنْ وَطِئَهُ مِنَ الْخُيَلَاءِ وَطِئَهُ فِي النَّارِ " .
