حَدِيثُ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ أَوْسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Shurahbil ibn Aws (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 18053
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، وَعِصَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي نِمْرَانُ بْنُ مِخْمَرٍ ، وَقَالَ : عِصَامُ ابْنُ : مُخْبِرٍ ، عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ أَوْسٍ ، وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ، فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ، فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ، فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاقْتُلُوهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Shurahbil bin Aus (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever drinks alcohol, flog him; if he drinks a second time, flog him; if he drinks a third time, flog him; and if he drinks a fourth time, kill him.
