It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Kabsha Anmari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The example of this Ummah is like four types of people. One is the person whom Allah has blessed with wealth and knowledge; he acts upon his knowledge regarding his wealth and spends it in its rightful places. The second is the person whom Allah has granted knowledge but not wealth, and he says, "If I had wealth, I would act upon my knowledge like that person." These two are equal in reward. The third is the person whom Allah has blessed with wealth but not knowledge; he spends it recklessly in wrongful places. And the fourth is the person whom Allah has neither blessed with wealth nor knowledge, and he says, "If I had wealth like that person, I would spend it in the same way as he does." These two are equal in sin. The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
Hadith 18025
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Sulayman, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, and I heard him narrate from Abu Kabshah al-Anmari from Ghatafan, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "The example of my ummah is like the example of four men." Then he mentioned the hadith except that he said: "A man to whom Allah gave wealth but did not give him knowledge, so he squanders it, does not maintain family ties with it, and does not give its due right."
Hadith 18026
Narrated to us by Abdullah ibn al-Walid al-Adani, narrated to us by Sufyan, from Mansur, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Abu Kabsha who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, gave the example of this ummah as the example of four men, and he mentioned the hadith...

Narrated to us by Rawh, narrated to us by Shu'bah, from Sulayman, he said: I heard Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, he said: I heard Abu Kabshah al-Anmari, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The example of my ummah is like four," then he mentioned the hadith.
Hadith 18028
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Kabsha Anmari (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting with his companions (may Allah be pleased with them), when suddenly he went into his house. When he came out, he had performed ghusl (ritual bath). We asked, "O Messenger of Allah! (peace and blessings be upon him) Has something happened?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Yes! Just now a woman passed by me, and a desire for a woman arose in my heart, so I went to my wife and fulfilled my desire with her. If such a situation arises with you, then do the same, because your best action comes through the lawful way."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Kabsha Anmari (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the occasion of the Battle of Tabuk, some people began to hastily enter the ruins of the people of Thamud. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was informed of this, he had a caller announce that the prayer is ready. Abu Kabsha (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I entered in the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and he was holding his camel and saying: Why do you enter upon a people upon whom Allah's wrath was sent down? A man said, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), we are amazed at them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Shall I not tell you something even more astonishing than this? A man from among yourselves informs you of past and future events. Therefore, remain steadfast and choose the straight path, for Allah will have no concern if you are afflicted with punishment. And soon there will come a people who will not be able to defend themselves by any means. The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
Hadith 18030
Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us, al-Mas‘udi narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Abi Kabsha al-Anmari, from his father, who said: When it was the expedition of Tabuk, some people hastened to the people of al-Hijr, entering upon them, and he mentioned its meaning.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Kabsha Anmari (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: There are three things upon which I can swear, and there is one hadith which I will relate to you, so remember it. The three things upon which I swear are: charity does not decrease a person's wealth; whoever is wronged and bears it with patience, Allah increases him in honor; and whoever opens the door of begging for himself, Allah opens the door of poverty for him. And the hadith which I relate to you is this: The world is for four types of people. One is the person whom Allah has granted wealth and knowledge, and he acts upon his knowledge regarding his wealth and spends it in its rightful places; his rank is the highest. The second is the person whom Allah has granted knowledge but not wealth, and he says, "If I had wealth, I would act as that person does with his knowledge." These two are equal in reward. The third is the person whom Allah has granted wealth but not knowledge, and he spends it recklessly in wrongful places, does not fear his Lord, does not maintain family ties, and does not recognize Allah's right; his rank is the worst. And the fourth is the person whom Allah has granted neither wealth nor knowledge, and he says, "If I had wealth like that person, I would spend it in the same way as he does." These two are equal in sin.
Hadith 18032
Abu Amir Huzni, may Allah have mercy on him, says that once Hazrat Abu Kabsha Anmari, may Allah be pleased with him, came to him and said, "Lend me your horse. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that whoever lends his horse to someone and his horse impregnates a mare, the lender will receive the reward of equipping seventy horses for people in the path of Allah."
