It is narrated from Hazrat Mustawrid bin Shaddad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The relation of this world to the Hereafter is only as much as the drop that remains on the finger of any one of you when he dips it into the sea; when he dips this finger, then takes it out and sees how much water is on it. Saying this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed with his index finger.

It is narrated from Hazrat Mustawrid bin Shaddad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever forcibly eats a morsel belonging to a Muslim, Allah Almighty will feed him the same amount from Hell. Whoever (forcibly snatches and) wears a Muslim's clothing, Allah Almighty will clothe him with a similar garment from Hell. And whoever puts a Muslim in a place of show and fame, Allah Almighty will place him in a place of publicity (exposure) on the Day of Resurrection.

It is narrated from Hazrat Mustawrid bin Shaddad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The relation of this world to the Hereafter is only as much as the drop of water that sticks to one of you’s finger when he dips it into the sea; let him see how much water remains on it when he takes it out.
It is narrated from Hazrat Mustawrid bin Shaddad (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was in the caravan of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he passed by a dead goat whose skin had been removed and it had been thrown away. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Do you think that its owner considered this goat insignificant?" They replied, "O Messenger of Allah! They threw it away only because they considered it insignificant." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), as insignificant as this goat is in the eyes of its owner, the world is even more insignificant in the sight of Allah."

It is narrated from Hazrat Mustawrid (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said to Hazrat Amr bin Al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with him), "When the Day of Judgment is established, will the number of Romans be the greatest?" Hazrat Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Think carefully about what you are saying." He replied, "I am saying only what I heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." Hazrat Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "If you are saying this, then it will be so. There are four qualities in these people: (1) After fleeing, they are the quickest to return and attack. (2) They are the best towards the poor, needy, and weak. (3) They are the most patient in times of trial. (4) And the fourth quality is the best: they protect others from the oppression of kings."
It is narrated from Hazrat Mustawrid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was with Hazrat Amr bin Al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with him). During the conversation, I said to him that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The most severe people against you will be the Romans, and their destruction will only be completed near the Day of Judgment." Hazrat Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Did I not forbid you from saying such things?"
