It is narrated from Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Ghanm (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever, after performing the Maghrib and Fajr prayers, before turning his feet away from the prayer mat, recites these words ten times: "La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul mulk wa lahul hamd, biyadihil khair, yuhyi wa yumit, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer," ten good deeds will be written for him, ten sins will be forgiven, ten ranks will be raised, and these words will become a means of protection for him from every disliked thing and from the accursed devil. No sin except shirk will be able to surround him, and he will be counted among the people with the best deeds, except for someone who recites these words more times than him.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Ghanm (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from Dari used to send a skin of wine as a gift to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) every year. The year wine was forbidden, he came that year as well with a skin of wine. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw it, he smiled and said, "Do you know that wine has been made unlawful behind you?" He said, "O Messenger of Allah! (peace and blessings be upon him) Can I sell it and benefit from its price?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said three times, "May Allah curse the Jews! When the fat of cows and goats was made unlawful for them, they melted it and made it into a commodity, and then they began to buy and sell food with it." Then he said three times, "Remember, wine and its price are both unlawful." The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
