Hadith of Abu Khudash Al-Sulami from the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith 17935
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ الْمَدَنِيُّ ، أَنَّ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ أَبِي أَنَسٍ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِي خِرَاشٍ السُّلَمِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَنْ هَجَرَ أَخَاهُ سَنَةً ، فَهُوَ كَسَفْكِ دَمِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Khirash Salmi (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever severs relations with his brother for a year, it is as if he has shed his blood.
