حَدِيثُ مُعَاذِ ابْنِ عَفْرَاءَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of Mu'adh ibn Afra' from the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith 17926
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ . وَحَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ نَصْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ مُعَاذٍ الْقُرَشِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ مَعَ مُعَاذِ ابْنِ عَفْرَاءَ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ أَوْ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ ، فَسَأَلْتُهُ ، فَقَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ صَلَاتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْغَدَاةِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ ، وَبَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ " .
Nasr bin Abdur Rahman says that once he performed Tawaf of the Ka'bah with Hazrat Mu'adh bin Afraa (may Allah be pleased with him) after the Asr prayer. After the Tawaf, he did not perform the two rak'ahs of Tawaf. I asked him about this, so he replied that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no voluntary prayer after two prayers: after the Fajr prayer until sunrise, and after the Asr prayer until sunset."
Hadith 17927
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَعْدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنِي ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ نَصْرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ مُعَاذِ ابْنِ عَفْرَاءَ ، أَنَّهُ طَافَ مَعَ مُعَاذِ ابْنِ عَفْرَاءَ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ أَوْ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ ، فَقَالَ : مَا يَمْنَعُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ ؟ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَى أَوْ يَقُولُ : " لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ ، وَبَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ " .
