حَدِيثُ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ أَبِي وَدَاعَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Al-Muttalib ibn Abi Wada'ah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 17892
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ أَبِي وَدَاعَةَ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَجَدَ فِي النَّجْمِ ، وَسَجَدَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ " ، قَالَ الْمُطَّلِبُ : وَلَمْ أَسْجُدْ مَعَهُمْ . وَهُوَ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُشْرِكٌ ، قَالَ الْمُطَّلِبُّ : فَلَا أَدَعُ السُّجُودَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا.
It is narrated from Hazrat Mutlib bin Abi Wada'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) perform a prostration of recitation at the verse of prostration in Surah An-Najm, and all the people also prostrated, but I did not prostrate because at that time I was a polytheist. Therefore, now I will never leave out the prostration in it.
Hadith 17893
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ أَبِي وَدَاعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَكَّةَ سُورَةَ النَّجْمِ ، فَسَجَدَ وَسَجَدَ مَنْ عِنْدَهُ " . فَرَفَعْتُ رَأْسِي ، وَأَبَيْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ . وَلَمْ يَكُنْ أَسْلَمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمُطَّلِبُ ، وَكَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ لَا يَسْمَعُ أَحَدًا يَقْرَأُ بِهَا إِلَّا سَجَدَ مَعَهُ.
