Hadith 17860
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ ، عَنْ دُلْجَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، أَنَّ الْحَكَمَ الْغِفَارِيّ قَالَ : لِرَجُلٍ ، أَوْ قَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ : أَتَذْكُرُ حِينَ " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ النَّقِيرِ وَالْمُقَيَّرِ ، أَوْ أَحَدِهِمَا ، وَعَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ " ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : حَدَّثَنِي بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِنَا ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَارِمًا يَقُولُ : تَدْرُونَ لِمَ سُمِّيَ دُلْجَةَ ؟ قُلْنَا : لَا . قَالَ : أَدْلَجُوا بِهِ إِلَى مَكَّةَ ، فَوَضَعَتْهُ أُمُّهُ فِي الدُّلْجَةِ فِي ذَلِكَ الْوَقْتِ ، فَسُمِّيَ دُلْجَةَ.
Hazrat Hakam bin Amr Ghafari (may Allah be pleased with him) said to a man, "Do you remember the time when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade (the use of) naqir and muqayr (or one of these two), and daba’ and hantam?" He replied in the affirmative, so he (Hakam) said, "I also bear witness to this."
Hadith 17861
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، قَالَ عَمْرٌو يَعْنِي ابْنَ دِينَارٍ : قُلْتُ : لِأَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ إِنَّهُمْ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ " ، قَالَ : يَا عَمْرُو ، أَبَى ذَلِكَ الْبَحْرُ ، وَقَرَأَ : قُلْ لا أَجِدُ فِي مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَى طَاعِمٍ يَطْعَمُهُ سورة الأنعام آية 145 يَا عَمْرُو أَبَى ذَلِكَ الْبَحْرُ ، قَدْ كَانَ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْغِفَارِيُّ . يَعْنِي بقوله : أَبَى ذَلِكَ عَلَيْنَا الْبَحْرُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ.
Amr bin Dinar says that I asked Abu Al-Sha’tha, “Some people think that the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade the meat of donkeys?” He said, “Amr! The ocean of knowledge (i.e., Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him) denies this, and he recited this verse: O Prophet (peace be upon you), say: ‘In what has been revealed to me, I do not find anything forbidden to one who wishes to eat it, except...’ However, Hakam bin Amr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say this.”
Hadith 17862
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ ، عَنْ دُلْجَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِلْحَكَمِ الْغِفَارِيِّ ، أَوْ قَالَ الْحَكَمُ لِرَجُلٍ : أَتَذْكُرُ يَوْمَ " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ النَّقِيرِ وَالْمُقَيَّرِ ، أَوْ أَحَدِهِمَا ، وَعَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ " ؟ فَقَالَ : نَعَمْ ، وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ.

Hadith 17863
حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَاجِبٍ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ سُؤْرِ الْمَرْأَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Hakam bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade a man from performing ablution with water left over by a woman.
Hadith 17864
حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبِي : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَمِيمَةَ ، عَنْ دُلَجَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، أَنَّ الْحَكَمَ الْغِفَارِيّ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ مَرَّةً : أَتَذْكُرُ إِذْ " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُقَيَّرِ وَالنَّقِيرِ " ؟ قَالَ : وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ الْمُقَيَّرَ ، أَوْ ذَكَرَ النَّقِيرَ ، أَوْ ذَكَرَهُمَا جَمِيعًا.

Hadith 17865
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَاجِبٍ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ الْغِفَارِيِّ ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ بِفَضْلِهَا ، لَا يَدْرِي بِفَضْلِ وَضُوئِهَا ، أَوْ فَضْلِ سُؤْرِهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Hakam bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade a man from performing ablution with water left over by a woman. It is not known whether "left over" refers to water remaining after ablution or water left after drinking.
