حَدِيثُ الْأَغَرِّ الْمُزَنِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of al-Agharr al-Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 17847
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بُرْدَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْأَغَرَّ ، رَجُلًا مِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ ، يُحَدِّثُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، تُوبُوا إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ ، فَإِنِّي أَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْيَوْمِ مِئَةَ مَرَّةٍ " .
Hazrat Agharr Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him) once narrated this hadith from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: O people! Keep repenting to your Lord, and I myself repent to Him a hundred times in a day.
Hadith 17848
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بُرْدَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَغَرِّ الْمُزَنِيِّ ، قَالَ : وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّهُ لَيُغَانُ عَلَى قَلْبِي ، فَإِنِّي لأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ فِي الْيَوْمِ مِئَةَ مَرَّةٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Agharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sometimes a veil comes over my heart, and I seek forgiveness from Allah a hundred times a day.
Hadith 17849
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَغَرِّ أَغَرِّ مُزَيْنَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنَّهُ لَيُغَانُ عَلَى قَلْبِي ، حَتَّى أَسْتَغْفِرَ اللَّهَ مِئَةَ مَرَّةٍ " .
