حَدِيثُ مِرْدَاسٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
Hadith of Mirdas al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 17728
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ مِرْدَاسٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " يُقْبَضُ الصَّالِحُ الْأَوَّلُ فَالْأَوَّلُ ، وَيَبْقَى كَحُثَالَةِ التَّمْرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Mirdas Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: The righteous people will be taken away one by one, and only worthless people will remain behind, like the husks of dates (or barley), whom Allah will not care about.
Hadith 17729
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنِي قَيْسٌ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مِرْدَاسًا الْأَسْلَمِيَّ ، قَالَ : " يُقْبَضُ الصَّالِحُونَ الْأَوَّلُ فَالْأَوَّلُ ، حَتَّى يَبْقَى كَحُثَالَةِ التَّمْرِ أَوْ الشَّعِيرِ لَا يُبَالِي اللَّهُ بِهِمْ شَيْئًا " .
