Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate from it; we also ate from it, but it still remained. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would eat dates and place the pit on the back of his finger and flick it away. Then water was presented, which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank and gave to the one on his right side. He held its strap and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), please supplicate to Allah for us." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated, saying, "O Allah! Bless their sustenance, forgive them, and have mercy on them." The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
