حَدِیث اَبِی اِبرَاهِیمَ الاَنصَارِیِّ ، عن اَبِیهِ رَضِیَ اللَّه تَعَالَى عَنه
Hadith of Abu Ibrahim al-Ansari, from his father (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 17543
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ يَزِيدَ الْعَطَّارَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ شَيْخٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، عن أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى عَلَى الْجِنَازَةِ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا ، وَكَبِيرِنَا وَصَغِيرِنَا ، وَذَكَرِنَا وَأُنْثَانَا ، وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغَائِبِنَا " .
Hazrat Abu Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the funeral prayer, he used to supplicate: O Allah, forgive our living and our deceased, our elders and our young, our men and our women, and those present and those absent.
Hadith 17544
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عن أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا ، وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغَائِبِنَا ، وَذَكَرِنَا وَأُنْثَانَا ، وَصَغِيرِنَا وَكَبِيرِنَا " .

Hadith 17545
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْخٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ يُقَالُ لَهُ : أَبُو إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عن أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا ، وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغَائِبِنَا ، وَذَكَرِنَا وَأُنْثَانَا ، وَصَغِيرِنَا وَكَبِيرِنَا " . قَالَ يَحْيَى : وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَزَادَ فِيهِ : " اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ أَحْيَيْتَهُ مِنَّا فَأَحْيِهِ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ ، وَمَنْ تَوَفَّيْتَهُ مِنَّا فَتَوَفَّهُ عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ ".
Hazrat Abu Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the funeral prayer, he used to supplicate: O Allah, forgive our living and our deceased, our elders and our young, our men and our women, and all those present and absent. In the previous hadith, with another chain of narration, this addition is also transmitted: O Allah! Whomever You grant life from among us, grant him life upon Islam, and whomever You cause to die from among us, cause him to die upon faith.
Hadith 17546
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عن أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى عَلَى مَيِّتٍ ، فَسَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا ، وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغَائِبِنَا ، وَصَغِيرِنَا وَكَبِيرِنَا ، وَذَكَرِنَا وَأُنْثَانَا " . قَالَ : وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بِهَؤُلَاءِ الثَّمَانِ كَلِمَاتٍ وَزَادَ كَلِمَتَيْنِ : " مَنْ أَحْيَيْتَهُ مِنَّا فَأَحْيِهِ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ ، وَمَنْ تَوَفَّيْتَهُ مِنَّا فَتَوَفَّهُ عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ " . حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ أبية ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، بِنَحْوِهِ.
Hazrat Abu Ibrahim, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates from his father that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the funeral prayer, he would supplicate: O Allah, forgive our living and our deceased, our elders and our young, our men and our women, and those present and those absent among us. In the previous hadith, with another chain of narration, this addition is also transmitted: O Allah! Whomever You grant life from among us, grant him life upon Islam, and whomever You cause to die from among us, cause him to die upon faith. The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
Hadith 17547
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أبية عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، بِنَحْوِهِ
Affan narrated to us, Aban narrated to us, Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us from Abu Ibrahim from his father from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with similar wording.
