حَدِیث زِیَادِ بنِ الحَارِثِ الصّدَائِیِّ رَضِیَ اللَّه تَعَالَى عَنه
Hadith of Ziyad ibn al-Harith al-Sada'i (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 17537
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عن سُفْيَانَ ، عن عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ ، عن زِيَادِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ الصُّدَائِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ أَذَّنَ ، فَأَرَادَ بِلَالٌ أَنْ يُقِيمَ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا أَخَا صُدَاءٍ ، إِنَّ الَّذِي أَذَّنَ ، فَهُوَ يُقِيمُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ziyad bin Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he gave the adhan. At the time of iqamah, Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) intended to say the iqamah, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O caller brother! The person who gives the adhan should also say the iqamah."
Hadith 17538
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْإِفْرِيقِيِّ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ ، عن زِيَادِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ الصُّدَائِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَذِّنْ يَا أَخَا صُدَاءٍ " قَالَ : فَأَذَّنْتُ ، وَذَلِكَ حِينَ أَضَاءَ الْفَجْرُ ، قَالَ : فَلَمَّا تَوَضَّأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ ، فَأَرَادَ بِلَالٌ أَنْ يُقِيمَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يُقِيمُ أَخُو صُدَاءٍ ، فَإِنَّ مَنْ أَذَّنَ ، فَهُوَ يُقِيمُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ziyad bin Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) that once at the time of dawn, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to give the adhan, so I gave the adhan. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution and stood for prayer, at the time of iqamah, Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) intended to say the iqamah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Let your brother who gave the adhan say the iqamah, because the one who gives the adhan should also say the iqamah."
