Hadith 17535
It is narrated from Hazrat Sufyan bin Wahb (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage, he was under the shade of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) mount. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was addressing from an elevated place. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Have I conveyed the message?" We understood that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was seeking a response from us, so we said, "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) repeated this sentence three times. Among the things the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said on that occasion was this: "To go out in the way of Allah for one evening is better than the world and whatever is in it, and to go out in the way of Allah for one morning is better than the world and whatever is in it. And it is obligatory for every Muslim to respect the honor, wealth, and life of another Muslim just as the sanctity of this day is necessary."
