Hadith 17491
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Rimtha (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I went to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taking my son with me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Is this your son?" I replied, "Yes! I bear witness to it." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You will not be held responsible for any crime of his, nor will he be held responsible for any crime of yours." The narrator says, "I saw the red and white hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
Hadith 17492
حَدَّثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي
عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ أَبْجَرَ ، عَنْ
إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ ، عن
أَبِي رِمْثَةَ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَ أَبِي ، فَرَأَى الَّتِي بِظَهْرِهِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَلَا أُعَالِجُهَا لَكَ فَإِنِّي طَبِيبٌ ؟ قَالَ : " أَنْتَ رَفِيقٌ ، وَاللَّهُ الطَّبِيبُ " . قَالَ : " مَنْ هَذَا مَعَكَ ؟ " فَقَالَ : ابْنِي اشْهَدْ بِهِ . قَالَ :
" أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَا تَجْنِي عَلَيْهِ ، وَلَا يَجْنِي عَلَيْكَ " . قَال عَبْدُ الله : قَالَ أَبي : اسْمُ أَبِي رِمْثَةَ رِفَاعَةُ بْنُ يَثْرِبِيٍّ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Rimtha (may Allah be pleased with him) that I went with my father to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When he saw the Seal of Prophethood on the blessed back of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he said, "O Messenger of Allah! (peace and blessings be upon him) Should I not treat you? For I am a physician." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You are a companion, the physician is Allah." Then he asked, "Who is this with you?" He replied, "This is my son and I am a witness over him." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Remember! He is not responsible for any of your crimes, nor are you responsible for any of his crimes."
Hadith 17493
حَدَّثَنَا
وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ
إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ السَّدُوسِيِّ ، عن
أَبِي رِمْثَةَ التَّمِيمِيِّ ، قَالَ : خَرَجْتُ مَعَ أَبِي حَتَّى أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَرَأَيْتُ
بِرَأْسِهِ رَدْعَ حِنَّاءٍ ، وَرَأَيْتُ عَلَى كَتِفِهِ مِثْلَ التُّفَّاحَةِ ، قَالَ أَبِي : إِنِّي طَبِيبٌ ، أَلَا أَبُطُّهَا لَكَ ؟ قَالَ : " طَيَّبَهَا الَّذِي خَلَقَهَا " . قَالَ : وَقَالَ لِأَبِي : " هَذَا ابْنُكَ ؟ " قَالَ : نَعَمْ . قَالَ : " أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَا يَجْنِي عَلَيْك ، وَلَا تَجْنِي عَلَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Rimthah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I went with my father to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). I saw the effect of henna on the head of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and saw the Seal of Prophethood on his shoulder, the size of a pigeon’s egg. My father said, "O Messenger of Allah! (peace be upon him) Should I not treat you, for I am a physician?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Its physician is Allah, Who created it." Then he said, "Is this your son with you?" He said, "Yes." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Remember! He is not responsible for any of your crimes, nor are you responsible for any of his crimes."
Hadith 17494
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Rimtha (may Allah be pleased with him) that I presented myself before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) along with my father. We saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting in the shade of the Ka'bah, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing two green sheets.

حَدَّثَنَا
يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا
الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، عَنْ
إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ ، عن
أَبِي رِمْثَةَ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ ، وَيَقُولُ :
" يَدُ الْمُعْطِي الْعُلْيَا ، أُمَّكَ وَأَبَاكَ ، وَأُخْتَكَ وَأَخَاكَ ، وَأَدْنَاكَ فَأَدْنَاكَ " . قَالَ : فَدَخَلَ نَفَرٌ مِنْ بَنِي ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ يَرْبُوعٍ ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، هَؤُلَاءِ النَّفَرُ الْيَرْبُوعِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ قَتَلُوا فُلَانًا . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَا لَا تَجْنِي نَفْسٌ عَلَى أُخْرَى " مَرَّتَيْنِ . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Rimtha (may Allah be pleased with him) that I presented myself before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he was delivering a sermon, saying: "The hand of the giver is upper. Keep giving to your mother, father, siblings, and step by step to your close relatives." Meanwhile, some people from Banu Tha'labah bin Yarbu' arrived. Seeing them, an Ansari said, "O Messenger of Allah! (peace and blessings be upon him) These are the same Yarbu' people who killed such and such person." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said twice, "Remember! No one can be held responsible for the crime of another person."
Hadith 17496
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Rimthah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I presented myself before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) along with my father. We saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting in the shade of the Ka'bah and he was wearing two green sheets. The hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was thick and there was a trace of henna on his head. My father asked, "Do you know who he is?" I said, "No." He told me, "This is the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)..." Then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith.
Hadith 17497
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Rimtha (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to dye (his hair) with henna and katam, and his blessed hair would reach up to his shoulders.
