It is narrated from Hazrat Iyad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever finds a lost item should have two just men bear witness over it, and should carefully remember its pouch and its closure. Then, if its owner comes, he should not conceal it from him, because he is more deserving of it. And if its owner does not come, then it is Allah’s property; He gives it to whomever He wills.

It is narrated from Hazrat Iyad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the mutual acquaintance between the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and him had already taken place before the Prophethood. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was appointed as a Prophet, he presented a gift, probably a camel, to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) refused to accept it and said, "We do not accept 'zabad' from the polytheists." The narrator asked about the meaning of 'zabad', and it was explained that it means a gift or present.
Hadith 17483
It is narrated from Hazrat Iyad (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I submitted in the court of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! (peace and blessings be upon him) A man from my tribe abuses me and is also inferior to me. If I take revenge on him, will there be any sin in it?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The two persons who abuse each other, both are devils who utter nonsense and lies."

It is narrated from Hazrat Iyad (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon and said: My Lord has commanded me to teach you those things which He has taught me today and of which you are unaware. (Thus, my Lord has said:) Every wealth that I have bestowed upon My servants is lawful, and I have created all My servants as Hanif (those who turn to Allah with exclusive devotion), but then the devils come to them and lead them astray from their religion, and they make unlawful for them what I have made lawful, and they command them to associate with Me that for which I have sent down no authority. Then Allah Almighty looked upon the people of the earth and was displeased with all of them, Arabs and non-Arabs alike, except for a few remnants from the People of the Book. And He said (O Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him): I have sent you so that I may test you and test others through you, and I have revealed to you a Book which water cannot wash away, and which you will recite in both sleep and wakefulness. Then Allah Almighty commanded me to burn the Quraysh. I said: O Lord, they will make my head like a chewed piece of bread? Allah Almighty said: Invite them to the field as they invite you, then fight them, We will be with you. Spend on your fighters, you will be provided for, and send forth your army, We will send five times as many armies with it, and fight the disobedient with those who obey you. And the people of Paradise will be of three types: one, a just ruler who gives charity and is granted success in good deeds; second, a compassionate man who is soft-hearted towards every close relative and Muslim; and third, a poor person who refrains from begging and gives charity himself. And the people of Hell will be of five types: the weak man who has no wealth and is counted among you as a follower, who does not strive for his family or wealth; the treacherous one whose treachery is not hidden from anyone and who betrays even in small matters; the man who deceives you morning and evening regarding your family and wealth. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also mentioned miserliness, lying, and obscene speech.
