Completion of the hadith of Amr ibn Umayyah Ad-Damri (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 17244
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Umayyah Damri (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wiping over his leather socks.
Hadith 17245
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَالْخِمَارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wiping over his leather socks and turban.
Hadith 17246
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، وَحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، أَنَّ جَعْفَرَ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wiping over his leather socks.
Hadith 17247
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُبَارَكٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wiping over his leather socks.
Hadith 17248
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَكَلَ عُضْوًا ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) eat the meat of a limb, then he performed the prayer without making a new ablution.
Hadith 17249
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ ، قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ : حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَحْتَزُّ مِنْ كَتِفِ شَاةٍ ، فَدُعِيَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ ، فَطَرَحَ السِّكِّينَ وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I once saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) tearing and eating the meat from the shoulder of a goat. Then he was called for prayer, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) put down the knife and did not perform a new ablution.
Hadith 17250
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ ابْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْكُلُ يَحْتَزُّ مِنْ كَتِفِ شَاةٍ ، ثُمَّ دُعِيَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ ، فَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I once saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) tearing and eating the meat from the shoulder of a goat. Hadith 17251
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَيَّاشُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ كُلَيْبَ بْنَ صُبْح حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ الزِّبْرِقَانَ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ ، فَنَامَ عَنْ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّى طَلَعَتْ الشَّمْسُ لَمْ يَسْتَيْقِظُوا ، وَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَدَأَ بِالرَّكْعَتَيْنِ فَرَكَعَهُمَا ، ثُمَّ أَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ فَصَلَّى .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were on a journey with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) slept at the time of Fajr, and no one could wake up until sunrise. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), making up for it (qada), first offered the two Sunnah (rak'ahs), then established the prayer and led the Fajr prayer.
Hadith 17252
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ بِالْكُوفَةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي جَعْفَرُ ابْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَهُ وَحْدَهُ عَيْنًا إِلَى قُرَيْشٍ ، قَالَ : جِئْتُ إِلَى خَشَبَةِ خُبَيْبٍ وَأَنَا أَتَخَوَّفُ الْعُيُونَ ، فَرَقِيتُ فِيهَا ، فَحَلَلْتُ خُبَيْبًا ، فَوَقَعَ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ ، فَانْتَبَذْتُ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ ، ثُمَّ الْتَفَتُّ ، فَلَمْ أَرَ خُبَيْبًا ، وَلَكَأَنَّمَا ابْتَلَعَتْهُ الْأَرْضُ ، فَلَمْ يُرَ لِخُبَيْبٍ أَثَرٌ حَتَّى السَّاعَةِ ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : وَقَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ لَنَا فِيهِ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، وَأَمَّا أَبِي فَحَدَّثَنَا عَنْهُ لَمْ يَذْكُرْ الزُّهْرِيَّ ، وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ بِالْكُوفَةِ ، فَجَعَلَهُ لَنَا عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him alone as a spy towards the Quraysh (the enemies had martyred Hazrat Khubaib (may Allah be pleased with him) and had hung his body on a piece of wood). I reached the place of that wood of Hazrat Khubaib (may Allah be pleased with him), and because I feared the spies of the Quraysh, I quickly climbed up and untied Hazrat Khubaib (may Allah be pleased with him). He fell to the ground and I fell some distance away. When I returned to Hazrat Khubaib (may Allah be pleased with him), he was nowhere to be seen. It seemed as if the earth had swallowed him. This is the reason that no trace of Hazrat Khubaib (may Allah be pleased with him) has been found until now.
