Hadith 17240
It is narrated from Hazrat Uthman bin Hunaif (may Allah be pleased with him) that a blind man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "Pray to Allah for me that He grants me well-being (restores my eyesight)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If you wish, I will pray for you, and if you wish, you may delay it for the Hereafter, which is better for you." He said, "Please pray for me." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who is the Prophet of mercy, said, "I ask and turn to You through Your Prophet, O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! I turn to my Lord through you and present my need, so that you may fulfill this need of mine. O Allah! Accept his intercession for me." He did as he was told, and Allah restored his eyesight.

Hani bin Muawiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I had the honor of performing Hajj during the time of Hazrat Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him). I was sitting in the Prophet's Mosque when a man was narrating this hadith: One day we were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man came and started praying behind a pillar. He prayed quickly and did not complete it properly, then left. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If he dies, he will die in a state where he is not established on the religion even a little. When a man shortens his prayer, he should at least complete it properly. Hani says that I asked people about the one narrating the hadith, and it was told to me that he was Hazrat Uthman bin Hunaif (may Allah be pleased with him).
