Hadith of Ibn Murabba' Al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 17233
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو يَعْنِي ابْنَ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ شَيْبَانَ ، قَالَ : أَتَانَا ابْنُ مِرْبَعٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ وَنَحْنُ فِي مَكَانٍ مِنَ الْمَوْقِفِ بَعِيدٍ ، فَقَالَ : إِنِّي رَسُولُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ ، يَقُولُ : " كُونُوا عَلَى مَشَاعِرِكُمْ هَذِهِ ، فَإِنَّكُمْ عَلَى إِرْثٍ مِنْ إِرْثِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ " لِمَكَانٍ تَبَاعَدَهُ عَمْرٌو.
Yazid bin Shaiban (may Allah have mercy on him) says: We were a little away from the place of standing when Hazrat Ibn Murabba’ Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) came to us and said: I have come to you as a messenger from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says: Stay at these very sites of rituals, for this is the inheritance of your father, Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him).
