Hadith 17218
It is narrated from a companion (may Allah be pleased with him) who participated in the Battle of Khaybar that regarding a man who was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He is from the people of Hellfire." When the battle began, he fought with great bravery and received many wounds. Some companions came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Just look, the man about whom you said he is from the people of Hellfire, by Allah, he has fought with great bravery in the path of Allah and has received many wounds." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again said: "He is from the people of Hellfire." The people were about to fall into doubt. That man felt great pain from his wounds, so he took an arrow from his quiver and stabbed it into his chest. Seeing this, a man ran to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Allah has made your statement come true; that man has committed suicide by stabbing an arrow into his chest."
