It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Muslim died in Khaybar. The people mentioned him to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You yourselves perform the funeral prayer of your companion." Upon hearing this, the color drained from the faces of the people (because the Prophet's refusal in this manner was not a good sign for that person). Sensing the people's reaction, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your companion committed dishonesty (betrayal) in the spoils of war even after going out in the way of Allah. We searched his belongings and found a rope in them, the value of which was only equal to two dirhams."
Hadith 17032
It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If I did not fear hardship for my Ummah, I would have delayed the Isha prayer until one third of the night had passed, and I would have ordered them to use the miswak at the time of every prayer."

When he finished, Zayd said: O Commander of the Faithful, by Allah, I will never leave them after I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, praying them. " لَأَنْ يَقُومَ أَرْبَعِينَ لَا أَدْرِي مِنْ يَوْمٍ أَوْ شَهْرٍ أَوْ سَنَةٍ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَمُرَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ " .
Sayyiduna Basr bin Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) says that once Abu Juhaym, the nephew of Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), sent me to Sayyiduna Zayd bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) to ask him about the hadith which he had heard regarding a person passing in front of someone who is praying. He said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: For a person, it is better to stand and wait for forty . . . . . than to pass in front of someone who is praying. I do not remember whether the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said days, months, or years.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zaid bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he himself or another man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the ruling regarding a lost sheep. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You should take it, for either you will find it or the wolf will take it." The questioner asked: "O Messenger of Allah! What is the ruling if a lost camel is found?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became extremely angry, so much so that his blessed cheeks turned red, and he said: "What do you have to do with it? It has its water-bag and its shoes with it, and it can eat the leaves of the trees." Then the questioner asked: "O Messenger of Allah! If I find silver in a pouch, what do you command?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Safeguard its container, its tie, and its count well, and announce it for a year. If its owner comes during that time, hand it over to him; otherwise, it becomes yours."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zaid bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at Hudaybiyyah, it rained one night. When morning came, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the prayer and then turned towards the people and said: "Do you know what your Lord said last night?" They replied, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said: "Allah Almighty said: Among My servants, some have become believers this morning (and deniers of the stars, while some people believe in the stars) and some have become deniers of Me. Whoever says, 'We have received rain by the grace and mercy of Allah,' he believes in Me and denies the stars. And whoever says, 'We have received rain because of such-and-such star,' he believes in the star and disbelieves in Me."
Hadith 17062
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zaid bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you about the best of witnesses? He is the one who is ready to give testimony (for the truth) before he is asked to do so."
