Hadith 16904
The previous hadith is also narrated from Yaqub (and in it, instead of «مدح», the word «تمادح» is used, the meaning of both is the same, that is) avoid praising someone to his face because it is like slaughtering that person.
Hadith 16905
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “‘Umra’ is permissible for the person for whom it is made.”
Hadith 16906
Abu Hind Bajali says that once we were with Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), who was sitting on his throne with his eyes closed. We began to discuss Hijrah. Some among us thought that Hijrah had ended, while others thought that Hijrah had not ended. Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) became alert and said: "What are you talking about?" We informed him. He would rarely attribute anything to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: "Once we also discussed this with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Hijrah will not end until repentance ends, and repentance will not end until the sun rises from the west.'"
