(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : اشْتَكَتْ إِلَيَّ فَاطِمَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا مَجْلَ يَدَيْهَا مِنَ الطَّحْنِ ، فَأَتَيْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فَاطِمَةُ تَشْتَكِي إِلَيْكَ مَجْلَ يَدَيْهَا مِنَ الطَّحْنِ ، وَتَسْأَلُكَ خَادِمًا ، فَقَالَ : " أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمَا عَلَى مَا هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمَا مِنْ خَادِمٍ ؟ " ، فَأَمَرَنَا " عِنْدَ مَنَامِنَا بِثَلَاثٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ ، وَثَلَاثٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ ، وَأَرْبَعٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ ، مِنْ تَسْبِيحٍ ، وَتَحْمِيدٍ ، وَتَكْبِير " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) complained to me that her hands had developed calluses from turning the millstone. So we went to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I said: O Messenger of Allah! Fatimah has come to you complaining about the calluses on her hands caused by turning the millstone, and she is requesting a servant from you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you something that is better for you both than a servant?" Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed us to recite thirty-three times Subhan Allah, thirty-three times Alhamdulillah, and thirty-four times Allahu Akbar before sleeping.
