Hadith 9915

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، قََالَ : رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ " يَسْجُدُ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ سورة الانشقاق آية 1 ، فَقُلْتُ : أَتَسْجُدُ فِيهَا ؟ فَقَالَ : نَعَمْ ، رَأَيْتُ خَلِيلِي " يَسْجُدُ فِيهَا ، وَلَا أَزَالُ أَسْجُدُ فِيهَا حَتَّى أَلْقَاهُ " ، قَالَ : شُعْبَةُ قُلْتُ : النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ .
Abu Rafi’ says that once I saw Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) performing a prostration of recitation in Surah Inshiqaq. I asked him about it, and he replied, “My beloved (the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) performed a prostration at this verse, so I will continue to perform a prostration at this verse until I meet the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).”
