Hadith 9910

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ فَرَاهِيجَ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " أَوْصَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام بِالْجَارِ حَتَّى ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ يُوَرِّثُهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him) continued to advise me to treat the neighbor well with such persistence that I began to think he would soon make him an heir.
