Hadith 9893

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ , قال : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا " ، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ أَوْ قَالَ : " مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا ، أَدَعُ يَوْمَ أَمُوتُ دِينَارًا ، إِلَّا أَنْ أُرْصِدَهُ لِدَيْنٍ " .
It is narrated with the same chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If the mountain of Uhud were to turn into gold for me, I would not like to die leaving even a single dinar, except for that which I keep aside to pay off a debt that is due upon me.
