Hadith 9879

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَرْوَانَ الْأَصْغَرِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا رَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ سَجَدَ فِي السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ ، قَالَ : فَسَأَلْتُهُ ، فَقَالَ : " سَجَدَ فِيهَا خَلِيلِي ، وَلَا أَزَالُ أَسْجُدُ حَتَّى أَلْقَاهُ " .
Abu Rafi’ says that once I saw Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) performing a prostration of recitation in Surah Inshiqaq. I asked him about it, and he replied, “My beloved (the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) performed a prostration at this verse, so I will continue to perform a prostration at this verse until I meet the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).”
