حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، وَبَهْزٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ بَهْزٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا فَلِوَرَثَتِهِ ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ كَلًّا وُلِّيتُهُ " ، قَالَ بَهْزٌ : " وَمَنْ تَرَكَ كَلًّا فَإِلَيْنَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever leaves behind children, their upbringing is my responsibility, and whoever leaves behind wealth, it is for his heirs.
