Hadith 9784

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : لَمَّا قَدِمَ الطُّفَيْلُ وَأَصْحَابُهُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : إِنَّ دَوْسًا قَدْ اسْتَعْصَتْ . قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِ دَوْسًا ، وَأْتِ بِهِمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Tufail bin Amr Dosi (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) along with his companions and said that the people of the tribe of Daws are persistent in disobedience and denial. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed: O Allah! Grant guidance to the tribe of Daws and bring them here.
