Hadith 9773

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ ابْنِ مَرْجَانَةَ ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ حُسَيْنٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً ، كَانَ لَهُ بِعِتْقِ كُلِّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهُ عُضْوٌ مِنَ النَّارِ " . حَتَّى ذَكَرَ الْفَرْجَ ، قَالَ : فَدَعَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ غُلَامًا لَهُ ، فَأَعْتَقَهُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever frees a Muslim slave, Allah will free every limb of the one who frees him from Hell in exchange for every limb of the slave—even a hand for a hand, a foot for a foot, and a private part for a private part. Upon hearing this hadith, Ali bin Husain (may Allah have mercy on him) called his slave and set him free.
