Hadith 9767

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنْ شَيْخٍ , سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " يَأْتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ يُخَيَّرُ الرَّجُلُ فِيهِ بَيْنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْفُجُورِ ، فَلْيَخْتَرْ الْعَجْزَ عَلَى الْفُجُورِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "A time will come upon you in which a person will be given the choice between helplessness and immorality; whoever reaches that time should choose helplessness over immorality and prefer it."
