حَدَّثَنَا
وَكِيعٌ ، عَنِ
الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ
أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" لَا يَقُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ لِعَبْدِهِ : عَبْدِي ، وَلَكِنْ لِيَقُلْ : فَتَايَ ، وَلَا يَقُلْ الْعَبْدُ لِسَيِّدِهِ : رَبِّي ، وَلَكِنْ لِيَقُلْ : سَيِّدِي " .
And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: None of you should say about his slave, "My slave (Abdi)," but rather he should say, "My young man." And none of you should say to his master, "My lord (Rabbi)," but rather he should say, "My chief, my master."
