Hadith 9588

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا سَالَمْنَاهُنَّ مُنْذُ حَارَبْنَاهُنَّ ، مَنْ تَرَكَ شَيْئًا خَشْيَةً فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا " ، يَعْنِي الْحَيَّاتِ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding snakes: Since we started fighting them, we have never made peace with them. Whoever leaves them out of fear is not from us.
