Hadith 9581

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : " سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، صَوْتَ صَبِيٍّ فِي الصَّلَاةِ ، فَخَفَّفَ الصَّلَاةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) heard the sound of a child crying during prayer, so he shortened his prayer (so that the child's mother would not be distressed).
