Hadith 9508

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ ، عَنِ الْأَغَرِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : الْكِبْرِيَاءُ رِدَائِي ، وَالْعَظَمَةُ إِزَارِي ، فَمَنْ يُنَازِعُنِي وَاحِدَةً مِنْهُمَا أَلْقَيْتُهُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has said, "Majesty is My upper garment and Honor is My lower garment. Whoever disputes with Me regarding either of them, I will cast him into Hell."
