Hadith 9486

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ الْمَعْنَى ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَثْقَلُ الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْمُنَافِقِينَ صَلَاةُ الْعِشَاءِ ، وَصَلَاةُ الْفَجْرِ وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِيهِمَا لَأَتَوْهُمَا ، وَلَوْ حَبْوًا ، وَلَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ فَيُؤَذِّنَ ، ثُمَّ آمُرَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ ثُمَّ أَنْطَلِقَ مَعِي بِرِجَالٍ مَعَهُمْ حُزُمُ الْحَطَبِ إِلَى قَوْمٍ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ ، فَأُحَرِّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ بُيُوتَهُمْ بِالنَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The most burdensome prayers for the hypocrites are the Isha and Fajr prayers, but if they knew the reward of these two prayers, they would certainly attend them, even if they had to come crawling on their knees. My heart wishes that I order the muezzin to call the adhan and appoint a man to lead the prayer, then I go with some people carrying bundles of wood to those who do not attend the congregational prayer and set fire to their houses.
