Hadith 9476

قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُهَيْلٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْحَمِيرِ فِيهَا زَكَاةٌ ؟ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا جَاءَنِي فِيهَا شَيْءٌ إِلَّا هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ الْفَاذَّةُ : مَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ سورة الزلزلة آية 5 - 7 " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the zakat of donkeys. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has revealed this comprehensive and sufficient verse about them: "Whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it."
