Hadith 9364

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ سَلَكَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا ، لَسَلَكْتُ شِعْبَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَوْ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، وَلَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ " ، فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : فَمَا ظَلَمَ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , لَآوَوْهُ وَنَصَرُوهُ . قَالَ : وَأَحْسَبُهُ ، قَالَ : وَوَاسَوْهُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If people were walking in one valley and the Ansar in another valley, I would walk with the Ansar in their valley. If there had been no migration, I would have been one of the Ansar.
